اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ
“Recite in the name of your Lord who created” (96:1)
طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم
“Seeking knowledge is incumbent upon every Muslim” (Al-Tabrani)
Seeking knowledge is the first direct command of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta ‘Ala, the mandate of Islam which is the right and responsibility of each male and female. It is the path of enlightenment which removes misconceptions, limitations and ignorance, the path that transforms the inner and outer and returns oneself purified back to Allah and His Messenger Salla Allahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallama.
Educating and informing our mothers, sisters and daughters will inevitably have a positive effect on our families, the society and world, therefore Ashton Central Mosque has organised a weekly Islamic Circle for females every Wednesday 11:30 – 12:30 PM
The Islamic Circle is led by Ustadah Shagufta Mehmood, discussing in detail the different aspects of the religion most pertinent to our circumstances. It takes place downstairs next to the men’s wudu area in Ustaadha Shagufta’s classroom.
